I used DVD Drcrypter in robot4rip to rip my dvd into an ISO file that was mounted with Daemon Tools, but now i cant delete the ISO. What should i do?

If this thread is in the wrong place, let me know.

I agree that this is not the best place to post this question, but I'm not sure where to move it so I'll let it remain for now.

For your problem I can only recommend that you make sure that the iso have been unmounted by Daemon Tools before removing it. Right click on the Daemon Tools icon in the system tray and select 'unmount all images'. Now it should be possible to delete the iso.

I see. From your first post I thought that was something you might have overlooked. The other thing that comes to mind is the XP lockup problem: when you select a file in XP, windows tries to scan the file to make sure it's OK. If you are using XP, disable this feature and try again. I don't use XP myself, but there was a lot of posts on the subject in General Discussions a while ago. manono posted the link below :)

If anyonbe else have a different idea on what the problem may be, feel free to post suggestions.

After reading your edited post, I seem to recall a similar problem a one time. I had the same solution, remount and unmount the ISO again. I've also on an occasion or two, unmounted an image in DT and still had the image available in explorer. Most likely a problem with the unmounting in DT

Hi-

Yeah, you figured out his problem, hakko504. But it doesn't hurt to repost the Can't Delete fix. Sometimes Windows XP won't let you delete an .avi. If that happens to you, here's the remedy:
