Sorry for this noobish approach but im in a hurry =P
What do i need to encode rmvb?
i know ill need the codec, the encoder and ill prob need gui for it too cus i </3 consoles

Well rv9 dosen't work the way vfw codecs do, so you don't need any codecs to encode, just the encoding application (which comes with it's encoding dlls).
For GUIs, there are so many different ones out there I can't really reccommend any :\ I'd just familiarize yourself with the job file syntax and edit a job directly. Though the most fully featured gui I've come across is HPG by TCF (search for HPG, there's a thread on it somewhere around here).

I convert things, no dvd compressing... dvds are expensive :angry:
lols well i tried HPG and it seems pretty decent! neato! but i still want unlimited audio =(
kk thx guys i think i got it all set up, just need to learn how to batch encode with HPG
