SVCD converted on 2 Dvds

I'm not sure how my friend did it but he split a SVCD over 2 dvds. So half of the movie is on one disc and the other half on the second. Now, is there any way of joining them and just placing them on one disc?

Reencode both disc, so that they fit on one disc. Use any reauthoring program to create a new DVD using the reencoded pieces of video.
