View Full Version : File is not a valid DVD2AVI Project - New Install

I installed the following files..

GordionKnot.RipPack.0.28.5.Setup.exe
GordionKnot.AviSynth2.0.8andPlugins.Setup.exe
GordionKnot.CodecPack.1.4.exe

I get the "not valid" DVD2AVI project when I try to open a .d2v file.

What do I need to do? I've solved this before a month or so ago but don't know how, and I've had to reformat since then.

This is *MOST* annoying. Some sort of "how to install" faq would be great for this.. (sorry, venting)

trying to provide as many clues as possible.

did search for avisynth.dll - only one copy in c:\windows\system32

in GordionKnot, I have

C:\Studio\Gordian Knot (Gordion Knot root directory) set for

"Where plugin directory for AviSynth located?"

edit your ".D2V" file with notepad.
can you see exactly the same directory than the one the ".D2V" and the ".VOB" files are located in ?

you can't move files (aka rename directory) after having created the ".D2V" file. if you do, the ".D2V" file would be broken.

this install:

GordionKnot.AviSynth2.0.8andPlugins.Setup.exe

was really not neccessary. You'll get some more errors afterwards (unless you know what're doing and diselect alternative mpeg2dec3.dll in GK...)

p.s. avisynth is not involved in opening d2v files...

ok, no I feel stupid.. it was because I had moved the .d2v file and source vobs to a new drive ... sorry for the annoyance people.
