Sometimes I have this weird problem when I try to playback movies that can be either xvid or mpeg (don't remember it happening to divx but I can be mistaken).
What happens is that I start the movie and when I maximize the window (no full screen) the video image firt resizes to window size but sometimes jump back to 100% and it's placed in the lower left corner of the player window. It's very unpredictable in it's behaviour because sometimes I can resize it a bit but then it can just snap back to its original size like that.
I'm using ffdshow as playback filter and it happens with several players: WMP, Media Player Classic, BSplay and Zoomplayer. And I know it's the ffdshow filter because I've turned OSD on and I can see the OSD information.
Sometimes a reset of my system works and then that same movie will play correctly. What could be wrong? I'm using an Asus V9950 (GForce FX5900). Could it be an overlay problem?
Thanks for any help or hints
Robert
