An interesting observation I made while trying out quantum's compare method, located here:
"Comparing the Transcoders" (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=58808)
I imported the first DVD Shrink transcoded movie VOB into VirtualDub (i.e., VirtualDub-MPEG2-AC3) and it gives this warning upon completing it's scan:
MPEG: Anachronistic or discontinuous timestamp found in video stream 0 at byte position 5865490 (may indicate improper join)
Additional warnings follow it at different byte positions.
I'm not sure what this means, but I went on to import the first movie VOB from the original disc and from my InstantCopy transcoding and they both came in clean with no warnings.
I'm seeing this in numbers with some other DVD Shrink transcodings that import as well...
