Sorry 4 opening a new thread but this is is getting a little too weird now...
The FACTS (for those who don't know):
Even the latest betas of DVD Shrink 3.0 still DO NOT remove the annoying and absolutely unneeded Layer-Break! It could safely be erased from the IFO file because the actual Layer-Jump is of course physically not there anymore. This means that every movie done with any DVD Shrink version contains an completely unnecessary 1-3 second pause/freeze in the middle of the movie on 60-70% of all standalone DVD players.
This is particulary annoying (& disappointing!) to people who don't know better and already did A LOT of movies with DVD Shrink and have now painfully to realise that every burned movie still contains that damn pause... OOOOPS! I remember when DVD2One came out, the removal of the Layer-Break was the *very first* thing that has been done in the 1.01 version. IC7 also removes it.
OK... right now, the still-present Layer-Break prevents me and lots of other people I talked to from using this otherwise very cool and promising program. Of course I know that the break could also be removed manually (but not too easy for a beginner!) by IFOEdit afterwards... but hey... I thought DVD Shrink should be the perfect one-click solution??
It's strange enough that a basic and *essential* function like that still couldn't make it into the 3.X betas, but what's even more interesting is that the author dvdshrink for some reason never replies to email or comments on this matter when it's brought up in the forums..!!???? Go figure...
Nevertheless... PROPS to dvdshrink for this nice & FREE program!
