Hi,
I've authored a DVD which contains 2 audio tracks (1 Dolby 1.0 192kbps and 1 Dolby 2.0 192Kbps), subs and chapters.
The authoring works well BUT the audio tracks "jumps" in 1 or 2 point (during the vision of the DVD). For "jump" I mean that the audio skip some milliseconds so (for example) if there's a dialogue, some words are skipped.
I've noticed this problem also on other dvds authored by Maestro.
I'm sure it's a Maestro problem because the original AC3 file isn't affected by this problem.
There's a way to fix it? It's important!
The tracks have no delay (0 ms) and all is in sync.
Thanks

Used DVD2AVI to create d2v project and extract Ac3 audio.

Are you PAL or NTSC user?? Maybe some framerate issue. Just an idea ;).

Which version of DVDMaestro are you using?
I have authored 100+ DVD's with Maestro and never had that kind of problem...

I'm on a PAL system.
I'm using the latest (i think) version of Maestro (build 2915a).
Anyway, I've some news... I've authored all my "material" with Scenarist... and I've found this interesting thing:
If I put only one chapter (the first at 00:00:00,00) all work well in WinDVD 5 (my sw player). If I put all the chapters (21) the problem appear.
Also... I know that Scenarist is the best authoring program so it's impossible that Scenarist made this errors. Also... i've tried to play my authored dvd in another dvd sw player (Sonic CinePlayer)... and all work (also with all chapters). So now I'm thinking it's a WinDVD problem (it's a bit strange for me at the beginning because the original dvd work well without any audio skip!). I'm using S/PDIF OUT of my SB Live! to listen the DVDs, and using digital speakers (DTT2500 by Cambridge SW) so I think it's a WinDVD module problem. (I wish). I'll try on a friend's standalone DVD player for security...
Anyway.. thanks for helping me!

I've extracted the Ac3 with these sw some day ago (because i've red that DVD2AVI have some strange bugs) but the problem don't disappear... so i think it's not an Ac3 problem but a WinDVD problem. With other sw dvd player this problem don't appear. I'll try on a standalone player or XBOX to see if the problem really exist.
Thanks!
