Vob ID

OK i read the guide thing about vod ids and when to demux by id.I have a question about the ideas, i have a dvd where in the vts set im processing theres 2 pgcs in it.The first is the movie and use's vobid 1,2.The second pgc which is only 00.00.00.10 in length ues' vobid 3.
Now the movie ues' id 1 then half way through it changes layer then use's id 2 through to the end of the movie.

Now once ive authored and updated the movie only ues' id 1 as now theres no layer break and pgc 2 use's vob id 3.

Now is this ok as theres now no vob id 2, i dont have to do anything special do i.

I'm pretty sure everything's fine. Whenever you reauthor, the vob-ids change and also the layer break will be removed.

As Eon explained, things will not be the same as the original IFO. Such is the inheirent nature of recreating a dual layered disc onto a single layered DVDR. The only time you need to concern yourself about the ID's, etc. is when first determining how to do your extraction to begin your project. Ultimately, when you actually use your final disc and it behaves as it should... do you really care what numbers are in your IFO afterall? ;)
