Greets to all,
There is a possiblity to save job setting with GK but it will only save the setting of the last job I gave it. I was just wondering if anybody was planning to implement a function that can save multiple job settings in one file so that someone can create it on one computer (considering all the VOB's are on a server)and run the file on another computer. This would be a great plus to gordian knot.
Also, I'am sorry if this subject was already brought up. I tried searching this forum with "batch" and "save settings" but didn't come up with anything.
Thanx

I don't think it's possible because a job contains paths to files, wouldn't be that paths different on two different machines. I don't know if this could possibly help you, in DVX jobs are nothing but profiles saved in the jobs dir

it's a good idea to have server drive to be mapped as the same drive on every client, so that just pure job saving will do...

Let me describe the situation.
We have a server, so the paths will be the same for every computer.
There are about 200 VOB's, about 70 movies on this server.
I create D2V files for these vobs.
I setup the cropping, audio and video.
I add this job to encoding queue.
I reapeat the proccess for every movie.
The problem is, if my system crashes or god knows what happens, I have to repeat the 3 last steps every time. I also can't save the
econding queue. If I export each job. I only get the seting for one movie and not all the movies in the job queue.
Basically, I will have to ajust the movie settings on every computer and then run the jobs on each computer.
There just has to be an easier way...

don't worry alpha version of GK already automatically save the whole queue, so all you have to do after crash is just restart GK...
or if you want to move the whole queue to another comp, then you will have to copy job dir to another comp and GK will be ready to work there (assuming that the paths are the same).
P.S. All features described are not the part of stable release yet. So don't discuss it just yet :)

How do I save/export the encoding queue so that I can install it on another computer?
