Parallel Processing?

Hello Everybody,
Is it possible to use two computers- one Pentium 4 and other AMD Athlon XP for parallel processing.i.e DVD ripping using both computers.Do i need to buy any hardware/software.Any remarks on this subject is highly appreciated.

Better question is: will you have faster encoding so? And how much you must pay for network cards and software?

You need to perform frameserving via network, and it must be very high bandwith - only Giga kbps cards can do it. But in other side it will highly load PCI bus, so at end I doubt that it can be faster.

I talk only theoretically - if someone tried such thing, please inform us.

I read previously that VDUBMOD does allow jobs to be split among machines look for the discussion in the VDUB forum a bit old now but should still work

Search for LAN or LAN ENCODING I think
