jittery playpack

I want to reauthor Drunkenmaster to DVD-5. The movie plays fine (hw and sw), but if I try to play the VOBs directly (via file mode in several software DVD players) or with DVD2AVI it is jittery. Every 6-10 seconds it seems to backup a couple of seconds or flash a few incorrect frames. Has anyone seen this before?

Yes, it's called multiangle video.

You should be aware that vob's are almost never playable correctly if you just rip them from the DVD in file mode. You must use some form of IFO parsing ripping in order to make them watchable. However, if you wish to reauthor the DVD, you should leave them mixed up.

Since this is not really a DVD2AVI specific problem but a rather general problem, I'm moving this thread to the newbies section. I suggest that you make another post stating more in detail what you try to do, and if you follow some guides in order to do it and then we can decide if there is something actually wrong with the vobs. I don't think so, but until you provide more info there is no way of being sure.
