how come sometimes when DVD Shrink says that your final product is below 4.37GB (all is in the green), and you compress it, you find that the final product is larger than what it is supposed to be, like 4.51GB? what is up with this? is it that inaccurate? i suppose the new deep analyze feature in 3.0 will help this? can anyone explain this?

I believe that dvdshrink said that you have to leave at least 1 item on "automatic" compression otherwise the final file size can get messed up...can't seem to find his post on that right now...

I am afraid , guys, I had this issue to :(
I had a weird problem, on a movie also, I shrink it and When I was about to read it in my homedvd player , NO 5.1 SOUND :mad:
I am afraid I am going back to 2.3 version till 3.0 final comes out
Hoping that MR SHRINK will take in consideration all those bugs :)

what might have happened with your sound is that if the 5.1 sound is the second audio track and you removed the first one, then the dvd player will defualt to playing the first audio track-which would be no sound. I bet if you switched to the second/third/etc it would be the correct audio you are looking for

@brush
Fizz's comment will probably help you. I once deleted all the 2 ch tracks and only kept the 5.1 track and when movie started it defaulted the 2 ch track and I had no audio. I changed the audio on the player to the 5.1 track and the sound came back on.

Listen to that daddy
I tried to shrink the same movie with 2.3 version, trying to keep the 5.1 french track and OH SURPRISE :) the backup worked very well with the sound
So I am gonna use 2.3 till the 3.0 final is released :sly:

but my problem with the file being larger than normal occurred with 2.3. do you still think i should continue to use 2.3 until 3.0 final comes out? thanks for the opinions.

I like Beta 3, it did my re-author movie only of Matrix perfectly.
