yeah that title sucks. sorry :P

ok, so i have to use the header trick with svcd so my "vcd only" player can read them.... and it works great. props to the guy who thought of that. then i gave the discs to my friend and his dvd player can play vcd, svcd, kvcd, skvcd (hes a lucky bastard :P ) and the header tricked svcds worked just great for him too!

then i took them up to my condo in new hampshire, the dvd player plays vcd, svcd and perhaps others. it wouldnt play my vcd header tricked discs, it was skipping from like one frame to the next, suggesting that it was tryin to read at vcd speed but it was an svcd.

is there any reason that my other, multi format dvd player wouldnt play those discs even though my "vcd only" and my friends multi format dvd player could?

thanks for the help,

theflinger

most probably it's because of a too high bitrate for your player. you'll have to re-encode them, sorry ;)
