file corrupt on pendrive!!!!!

i got pqi pen drive. I hv noticed that few file get corrupt, the zip one with crc err. but the actual zip file is fine, only the zip file on pendrive gives me the crc err. Am using it on 2k/xp and unpluging safely after stoping the device.

On 2k i can formate the device as NTFS also, but not on Xp, only fat/fat32 options are available....
The s/w which came with the drive formats only in FAT, no fat32/ntfs.
has any1 faced this kind of file corrupt problem???
any help would be apperciated.

I think I may have had a similar problem. Mine's a combined mp3 player and it has an internal formatting option. I have to use that or else I get the same errors you describe. Also, the manual stated that I could aonly format to FAT (16) or FAT12. Win98 should be able to do that, I don't know about 2k/xp.
