Hi I would like to know if anybody heard of a way to use the canopus codec as a Premiere setting in order to get the transitions rendered with it.(I´m not quite sure that the codec actally is used to render them but in any case I do not want to change every FOURCC code for all my transitions).
I foud a way to load the CANOPUS Avis (That would be DV AVIS with the Canopus FOURCC code) into premiere without having to render them, by using the ADAPTEC CODEC in a Video For Windows "preset" with the Recompress Flag unchecked but all Transitions get "RENDERED" with that CODEC that is actually a lot darker than the Canopus I Tryed exporting a clip that was actually the same clip (CANOPUS FOURCC) on both 1A & 1B video tracs with a Cross dissolve between them when watching it with Media PLAYER, I can see the CODEC change (The image goes darker during the cross dissolve then becomes lighter again).
This is done no matter what FOURCC code this clip has(Wich seems rather logical).
Since I use a ADVC 100 I would like to use the Canopus CODEC in order to "read" exactly like it was "written" but I seem to have trouble doing so.
Might it be because the Canopus CODEC is a Read only CODEC (Think I read something about this)?
If that's it, does anybody know where can I get a R/W version and how to set it up for Premiere to see it.
P.S. Why is it that ADAPTEC is the only CODEC that shows up in the CODEC selection tag when using VFW presets in Premiere? (Tryed MATROX, PANASONIC AND MAIN CONCEPT)
