Great program but doesn't install correctly...

I've tried installing and uninstalling and reinstalling and I can't get GK to work. I've tried the solutions proposed in the various threads and I give up. Hope things get ironed out in the next release.

instead of just saying it doesn't work, please tell us what happens after/during installing? perhaps we can iron it together without needing a new release!

VirtualDub Error:
Loadplugin: "mpeg2dec3.dll" is not an Avisynth 1.0 plugin

I uninstalled everything and searched for avisynth.dll and it is not on hard disk.

I assume I have to edit the registry or rename a file? I tried the proposed solutions in the VirtualDub thread without luck.

I'm not clear...is it a VirtualDub problem? Should GK be modified to perform some kind of check when installing?

Install Avisynth 2.5.x:
