Now ive done a search and ive read the guides but theres on or two things i dont get as one guide says one thing and another says something different.
Now my movie that im backing up using the big 3 is pal and bitrate viwer give's me this info.....
Num. of picture read: 26
Stream type: MPEG-2 MP@ML VBR
Resolution: 720*576
Aspect ratio: 16:9 Generic
Framerate: 25.00
Nom. bitrate: 8000000 Bit/Sec
VBV buffer size: 112
Constrained param. flag: No
Chroma format: 4:2:0
DCT precision: 10
Pic. structure: Frame
Field topfirst: Yes
DCT type: Field
Quantscale: Nonlinear
Scan type: Alternate
Frame type: Interlaced
Notes:
Now the guide for getting the best out of cce says that if the pic.structure is frame then you encode progressive, but this info says pic.structure if frame but it also says interlaced.
Going on bitrate viwer i would tick top field first, alternate scan and leave progressive untick.
But then i read if its top first you dont tick top first, but the cce guide that comes with cce says to tick it if top is first.
Why cant these guide make there mind up,one with one thing one with another.
So what settings do i use???
Do i go by pic.structure, frame type ... what ?
I mean all the interlaced movies that ive had to encode ,when i load the avs into media player i dont getting any interlaceing lines.DVD2Avi says its interlaced but i dont see no interlacing lines in dvd2avi.
I also read that some times films are progressive just flaged as interlaced.
