OK i just backed up my first dvd with the big 3, and i very impressed.ot from the quality as i know cce can give high results.More impressed with how the programs work and do there job nicely.

But man does scenerist take a long time to import and when it compiles the dvd.

Now im not sure if this was down to me, maybe being tired as i started late at night, but the moive im was re-encodeing was interlaced, but the new encode is progressive, i never deinterlaced or anything,im sure in docce4u i unticked progrssive, then again maybe not, cant remember. The thing is even though the original was interlaced and the new encoded is progressive the film plays film, so is there any need for me to re-encode it and start anygain.

Also The orignal ifo for the vts set that contains the movie had 3 vob ids.Vob ids 1&2 where the movie, it change to vob id 2 when it got to layer break, and id 3 was some track thats 00.00.00.10.
But the new authored on has vob id one for the movie and vob id 3 for that second pgc,id 2 aint there. This aint a problem is it.

Hi - scenarist seems to be affected speedwise above all by # & complexity of subs, & by amount of real memory available.

If you're remaking PAL DVD's, the 4U combo tend to encourage you to deinterlace by default - many prefer to leave interlaced PAL as it is.

Im using Dif4u 1.1.1.0 and avisynth 2.07. I think whats happened is when docce4u has opened i have unticked progressive and ticked alternate scan but i didnt click replace first.I've just hit encode so it has'nt changed to the setting i had set it up to be.Opps silly me.I proberley will re-encode it from scratch again in a day or so.
