I never used to get these b4 my re format, i get them now when i want to demux, it goes to m2v & audio whereas i want it to go to mpg. do i need a plug in or something?

m2v files are the video source w/o audio. That's what you are supposed to get when you demux... Why do you want mpg?

i didnt used to have a problem when it was demuxed but now it just shows up as a system file with no icon, where as before it showed up an an mpg file & i get the error file not supported when i try to open it up in the main screen bit...

It's only the file-association in Windows you have lost since your re-format!

Hold SHIFT and right-click an .m2v file and choose "Open With.." and choose Windows Media Player or whatever player you prefer!

If it says that the fileformat is not supported, you have no MPEG-2 decoder in your system.
Install a DVD-player ie. WinDVD and it will add MPEG-2 support to your system!
