I am already set up using DVD2SVCD... awesome application, works great.
Sometimes I'd rather just rip a favorite scene from a movie, and encode it to DivX 5 AVI format. How would I do this? No subtitles or anything like that needed.
Thanks

load your dvd into dvddecrypter, mode -> ifo, select the chapter or cell of the scene you want, and extract it

@dani82--Long time no see! Come around more often.
@|minister--You've become good friends with the search button of late. I applaud your efforts. :)
@MDesigner--Well, you've got an old hand quoting from hard won experience, a new hand digging for answers, and me? I'm just lurking around and smiling. Bop on back and let us know how you do. Life is good at Doom9, isn't it?

So DVD2AVI doesn't have accurate ripping? That's too bad :( . I guess it's caused by the keyframes in the mpeg, right?
