Hi there
Can anyone help me with the above software. I have captured a number of programs from the tv and would like to write them to DVD, one per disc. However although the help files etc that come with the software say you can capture to your hard drive then burn to DVD later, I cant for the life of me work out how to do it. The files are burnt in the intervideo file format as an mpeg file. I emailed Intervideo and they replyed, saying to search for the VIDEO_TS file that would have been created but whatever setting I use to capture the video, it always ends up as an mpeg file. When I try to burn this in Nero it says that it is not a DVD compliant file.
What am I doing wrong any ideas.

You have captured MPEG which you must then author to DVD. DVD's use MPEG-2 video streams, but authoring software is used to create IFO files and to convert the various streams (video, audio, etc.) to VOB format. Doom9 has some DVD authoring guides (http://www.doom9.org/mpg/dvdauthoring.htm), and there is also a DVD authoring forum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=39) and a DVD burning forum (http://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=60).

I hope this was helpful. In addition, I am moving this from the Capture forum to the DVD authoring forum, as your question relates to those processes rather than analog capture. Good luck!
