I'm still using Avisyth 1.0 and everything works fine so far. I encode with CCE 2.5 to get DVD compatible streams only. I don't need DivX or the like. So, are there some reasons for me to upgrade to version 2.08 or even 2.5, anyway? I'm a bit lazy to learn all the stuff, that makes CCE work with the newer Avisyth versions, but if there are some essential advatages, I'm willing to do it.
Should I upgrade?

If you don't wanna learn anything new, and what you have is working fine, then I'd say, no, you don't need to upgrade.
If you dont mind learning some more in order to increase your video quality, then i would of course recommend upgrading to 2.52.

At least upgrade to version 2.08 which is much better than version 1.

IMHO version 2.5 keeps improving, too. I use the latter.

I was a bit afraid that upgrading might trash my system, but these concerns were not reasonable. I gave it a try and - much to my surprise - it worked very smoothly. I'm now convinced. The results I want are now much easier to achieve. Great work.
