I am realy hoping someone may be able to shed some light on a problem I am having at the moment. A client of ours wants us to put together a DVD for him. He has created the menu for us, background and overlay in Photoshop. Now this is where it gets confusing, Photoshop tells us that the backgrond colour is black but once it has been imported into Scenarist it appears much lighter and in fact to match the colour of the imported background, I had to create a new colour in the pallete of Red225 Green221 Blue224. Surely this should be 255,255,255  It is essential that I am able to understand why this is happening, as all of this clients menus work in the same way with masks the same colour as the background lowering in contrast to reveal the selection below. Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I had a similar issue a couple months ago when I was trying to get a button color to match the black background. In the simulation window, the black background and the black button did not match, but I created the dvd and in PowerDVD and set top player it matched perfectly. So I would just try to create the DVD and see what happens

Thanks Coo+, you were right. How weird is that? I can only imagine it is so that people can still see where their overlays are in all states. I would have thought it would have been documented in the Scenarist manual as this could cause great confusion. Anyway thanks again, saved me some brain ache there.
