I am converting AVI's to DVD format using TMPGenc..
Now when I play back the film on my DVDPlayer its all jerky (like frames are missing).. this makes me feel a little sickly and is more noticeable on titles or scrolling etc..
The original AVI is smooth.. its just the final thing (or the MPV) that is jerky.
Anyone know what is causing this and how to fix it?

Could you post more information about the avi file and the process of what you did. Is the avi file captured or from a ripped source? just try to describe the procedure, it might make it helpful to help you.

Okay it has happened to 2 avi's that I have converted.. They are films off the net!!
Firstly they are XVID and I load them into virtual dub and save the audio as a wav!
Next I go into TMPG and use the wizard, I select DVD PAL/NTSC (Depending on the avi format) and then select the wav audio.. next I use "fullscreen keep aspect ratio2" from the tmpgenc advanced settings and then I proceed to encode..
Finally i demux the file, and use DVDLab to author the film and Nero to write to dvd!!
Any more info just ask!!

ouch... sorry, but you're violating rule 6. pls familiarize yourself with them (http://forum.doom9.org/forum-rules.htm) again and maybe also check out the sticky in the Newbies forum, which elaborates the topic further.
