Hi there,

I recently come back and started to use Robot4rip and Gknot latest version. Very impressed its nearly all automatic now.

Just have a question with regards to when robot4rip processes my files it states if it is NTSC or PAL and states if is Anormorphic or not but when I run Gknot I have to also do some special steps if its a PAL interlaced but can't find anywhere within the log of robot4rip if it is interlaced or not.

Any ideas on this? But so far it looks really good.

I had some time to call so I went with non interlaced as a guess ... I can always do it again if its wrong..

Thanks alot

Ian

There's nothing in the video stream that R4R can use to determine interlace status. PAL streams can appear interlaced, but merely have field ordering mismatch, or, they can be interlaced. I recommend this tutorial (http://www.doom9.org/ivtc-tut.htm), Hakko504's section on PAL analysis will be most helpful.

Hi there,

thanks for the reply. So basically the rule should be, if I am doing a PAL movie then open it manually after R4R in DVD2AVI just so I can check to ensure if it is interlaced. If it is then I can make the relevant changes in GordianKnot that is recommended in the guide from DOom9??

Thanks once again

Ian
