Anyone played w/ American Pie Unrated version??

Wierd PGC layout - every other PGC in the main movie and one of the extras has a length of 00:00:00.15

I'm hoping I don't have to do it by VOBID

I had the same thing on 2 movies I did (ironically, both from Dreamworks). Demuxed by PGC and it worked fine.

Backed that one up by pgc-demux just fine.

Good :)

Dumb to have all those VOBID's just for a .15sec PGC...

guess I'll have to play w/ it tonight....

thought I was going to have to do by VOBID - demuxed it was like 8.5gig even though disk is only 6.4

Thanks guys

I haven't reauthored American Pie but if one of the extras is "deleted scenes" and there's an option to 'play all' as well as going through each deleted scene one by one, then I think you may have unnecessarily demuxed some PGCs. All you needed to do was demux the 'play all' pgc and then recreate the layout accordingly in scenarist. I'm not exactly sure but if this is the case then that could be what is causing the script error...but if the dvd structure wasn't what I described above then I'm not really sure why you're getting the script error.

Aqua's on a little break.

As far as the 00:00:00.15 PGC's are concerned, go back into RA, uncheck all of the short clips (which RA will say are to short to encode) which will cause RA to dummy those unchecked clips, 'open from script' with Scnearist and it should work now.

Your issue now is with subtitles. Check the subtitle streams in VTS_02_PGC_22/32/36/38 to see if they have sub-pictures in them (if they have grey vertical lines within the pink stream, they do. If not, remove the sub stream as needed). Try it again.
...and I can't speak for Eyes, as I'm not his public spokesperson, just public annoyance =)

Yeah I know.... been awhile since I've seen this kinda error... fun fun :)

Hmm... subs are in directory, just not importing properly it looks like

VTS2 PGC2 has 19 images in the subs dir and the .sst file reflects that.. however when importing into scenarist, it doesn't import the pics.. just places the pink sub box in there..

wierd stuff.. I hate subtitles :D

you can either try redoing the subs using VobSub or...find out by looking the the subs directory and the respective VTS's/PGC's directory if there are indeed Bitmaps for the subs. From previous times of getting that error, there aren't any bitmaps... OR... re-import the subs manually (delete the RA imported sub stream and import the .sst manually from the respective folder)...OR...
set it up manually (tedious but should work providing there are subpics in there)

I did both AP and AP2 before RA was out :)

Well fine be that way :)

appears that Scenarist doesn't like the .sst files that get created...
60% of them will import but no .bmp's get imported.. just a big pink box

guess I'll have to try and remember how to manually create subs for a PGC and see the diff

AHAH..

ok hmmm...

start of the first sub is at 00:01:13:23 however, total lenght of the PGC video is only 00:0059

the sub duration start/end total movie it seems like instead of just tha tpgc..

correct me if I'm wrong but that's what i get for all the pgc's that won't import subs properly
