Deinterlace ... yes or no.

Akira is a interlaced movie, so is the menu.When re-encoding these and setting up in dif4u and numenu4u is it better to deinterlace them or not . I mean does it make the picture better or worse ?

if youre going to view akira on a tv then i would not de-interlace - i've seen ghosting effects and it looks like sh** in some cases.

on a computer monitor you may want to de-interlace it since you may experience the combing effect.

it's all about personal preference
