DVD2KVCD is a plugin for DVD2SVCD. This program will set up KVCD settings in DVD2SVCD, and install necessary aviynth filters / scripts.
It will also automatic choose the "right" template for your movie, and I have added an other prediction system (based on kwag's "Manual File Prediction: A Mini "How-To")
I hope kwag adds batch encode too his fantastic CQmatic, so I can use CQmatic instead of the "old" prediction.

The program should be easy to use, and if you install "BurnOut" too, you will only have to insert a CD-R, Run DVD2KVCD and hit GO in DVD2SVCD. After some hours you'll have a KVCD in your CD-writer!

erm, I don't think it is ready yet. I tried it a couple of times and it was broken. Also, if you use it, make a copy of your dvd2svcd folder as a backup. It is actually easier to delete the folder and change "copy of dvd2svcd" back to dvd2svcd than worry with the ini file changes and restoring them (IMO).

Try DVD2KVCD 0.96 BETA 1 (http://home.tiscali.no/tor1234/DVD2KVCD.exe). I made selected SKVCD 352x576 and SKVCD 528x576, and it worked perfect! (I haven't tried the KVCD settings yet, only SKVCD)
And I hope the predictor should be a litle faster:)

I did try it and tmpg never ran, just dropped out to muxing. Also the predictive is being done at 29.97. Most of my stuff is progessive 23.976 that needs pulldown. If I can pin it down I will post what I found. I just thought I would wait till the NTSC is further along. Also, a big part of this prog is the predictive. The beta of D2S I am presently testing uses a new and, IMO, better prediction than it used to do. I am sure going to keep watching as I have that thread bookmarked.

I'm trying this plugin with a Divx conversion and when I preview the video I get a picture that looks correct but this text is written across the top...

"Plane Difference: Only Planar Images (asYU12) supported ((scriptclip), line 1)"

Not sure if that will show up on the actualy encode and haven't tried yet. Any thoughts? Is it because my source is Divx?

I'm using TMPGenc as encoder.

Thanks.

I would ask that question over in that thread on kvcd net. That error will show up if you play your script with mediaplayer 6.4 as well as be in the final encode. It is a script problem and you should fix it before proceeding with any tool. Do bring it up over there so the author can have feedback to his/her efforts.

Yes, I got answer from the kvcd group and the author of the DVD2SKVCD plugin...I just had to add the line 6=ConvertoToYV12()to my ini script. In case anyone else runs in to this. Run DVD2SKVCD, then hit the "run DVD2SVCD" button. Exit DVD2SVCD. Edit the dvd2svcd.ini script changing the numbering to reflect the addition of another line. Then start just DVD2SVCD and load/setup your encode.
