Hi there!
I tried to mux an avi-ac3 file with an interleave value of 96 ms, but it still got interleaved every 1 frame ignoring my setting...old vdubmod still worked...can anyone doublecheck on this? Thanx in advance!

Oops, was a bug introduced while merging new VirtualDub dubbing core (almost completly rewritten since 1.5.2).
All streams would be muxed with an interleaving of 1 video frame ^^;
Just fixed it (not in CVS yet).

Is this a serious bug that should stop me from using this version? How will this affect my mkv movies?

This bug should just prevent you from using your preferred interleaving.
All streams will be interleaved as if you chose 'every 1 frame' (this is the default setting if you don't change anything) in the 'Interleaving' window(s).
So I wouldn't call that a 'major' bug since it doesn't prevent you from writing AVI, OGM or MKV files.
We may release a bugfix version soon (for this bug, and also a few more warning messages - in the logs system - when reading/writing matroska file).
