i tried 2 programs to make vcd:
1) Panasonic MPEG Encoder
2) TMPGEnc

the 1st one was good but the problem in that it is very slow, it takes around 3x the length of the movie to finish encoding
(if movie 1 hr , it takes 3 hrs)
but when i resized it by virtualdub then frame server to it, it takes
double the length of the movie....

TMPGEnc is faster but the problem is in the motion of the vcd created by it, in some parts it slow down and when changing from
scense to another it is not smooth like panasonic (like 1 frame is corrupted) , there are many options in TMPGEnc but i do not know which one can solve the problem .
i want to use it cuz it is faster than panasonic in encoding.......
any suggestion?

If you enable "Detect scene change" in the GOP structure tab then it may solve your scene change problem. Also set "motion search precision" to "Highest quality" in the Video tab. This will make your encoding slower but it may increase the quality of motion.
