Ok, just a small problem I have with a movie called "Gangs Of New York". I've been using the big 3 for some time, so I don't think I did something wrong this time.

The movie has 2 VTS Titles,
VTS1 = the movie itself and
VTS2 = copyright warnings.

VTS1 has 2PGC's, PGC1 = movie, PGC2 = 10 frame still

In the original movie after the last chapter the movie returns to the title menu, which is located in video_ts.vob, not in VTS_01_0.VOB !
In the copy, after the last chapter, it just seems to hang on that 10 frame still.

Hope someone knows what to do with this...

Here's the VTS1 IFO (link removed for copyright reasons)
and a DIF4U screenshot (http://www.kleir.be/gangs/dif4u.jpg)

Change the still to a 10 frame slideshow in Scenarist and it should work.

Firstly, I never saw Scenarist.

Your VTS_02_0.ifo has the third post command taking you back to VMG PGC1
__________________________________________________________________
[000000f4] 1.Post Command Set GPreg<8> mov (set-val)<0>
[000000fc] 2.Post Command Set GPreg<5> mov (set-val)<1>
[00000104] 3.Post Command (CallSS VMGM) Call VMG PGC: 1 [Resume Cell: 1]

So the error is after this ifo.
Have a look at the commands in Video_ts.ifo with Ifoedit.
What I've learned is that Video_ts.vob is the true place for the Title set manager. A lot of authoring doesn't use this though, it uses vts_01_1.vob instead. Thats why one sees "ROOT" on the DVD Player although one pressed the Title button. The VMG has the commands and CAN have video.

If the big 3 was used I presume that Scenarist was used as well. The reason for my sugestion is that Reauthorist exports short PGCs as stills instead of slideshow to Scenarist. This can result in the player "hanging" and waiting for a button to be pressed on the remote.

Actually it might be an idea to change the number of POST COMMANDS to "0" and the number PRE COMMANDS to "3"
That way it wont be played at all.

Thanks everyone for helping out
Eventually it's as palle_k said
I replaced the PGC2 with a 10 frame slide show and it works fine now

Just a quick question though, these 10 or 15 frame PGC's, could you tell me again what they're for ?
I think it's to be able to press "Next" on you remote in order to return to the menu, am I right ?
