Hi,

I'm using besweet to convert AC3 from PAL to NTSC.
As I was not too happy with the low volume, I'm now doing the following:

Step 1
I'm using Besweet to convert AC3 in 6 waves. At the same time, I'm using the preset option for PAL to NTSC, and I'm checking the DVD2AVi box for the delay.

Step 2
I reencode the 6 waves in AC3 using Soft Encode.

My questions are:
-1/ Does Besweet adjust the pitch in the 6 waves?
-2/ Am I right to check the DVD2AVI box? (I later reimport the AC3 in Maestro).

Thanks

Chris

Why so complicated? BeSweet can do all this (PAl->NTSC, normalisation, delay correction, AC3 encoding) in one step. Use the GUI. Make sure that "dialog normalisation" is checked.
The command line looks like this:

"C:\Programme\GordianKnot\BeSweet Beta\BeSweet.exe" -core( -input "C:\EU_109552\VIDEO_TS\VTS_02_1 - 0x81 - Audio - AC3 - 6ch - 48kHz - DRC - English - DELAY 0ms.ac3" -output "C:\TNG\TNG 2 english.ac3" -logfilea "C:\Programme\GordianKnot\BeSweet.log" ) -azid( -n1 --maximize ) -ota( -r 25000 23976 ) -ac3enc( -b 384 -6ch )

If you mean by "adjusting the pitch", that the pitching caused by the PAL speedup is corrected, then: YES! That's why I do PAL to NTSC conversions.
