DVDMaestro Preview functionality not available

Hi!
This is my first post here. I hope someone could help me.
DVDMaestro, during startup, reports that no decoder is present so preview functionality won't be available.
Do you know how to make it work?

I'm pretty sure you need to install Cinemaster 2000 and its decoder for preview to work.

Well, it seems that cinemaster decoder is really difficult to find...

DVDMaestro is built basically for a few hardware decoders, but software cinemaster 99 or 2000 can work with it.

sonic owns cinemaster/cineplayer now, but im not sure if they offer it for sale any more.

Well, Sonic is still offering Cinemaster 99. Here's the link to its home page:

But it's Cinemaster 2000 which I couldn't find anywhere...

Well, I finally got Cinemaster 2000.
After installing, player and DVD decoders that comes with the distribution, I got DVDMaestro preview working!

DVDMaestro only needs 5 files from CineMaster inorder for the preview it to work.

After installing Cinemaster, search folowing files in the system32 folder:

cinemres.dll
Cinmhook.dll
Cinmst32.dll
dvdpld32.dll
Swcmcfg.dll

Copy them to your DVDMaestro folder.

Uninstall CineMaster.

Run DVDMaestro to make sure the preview still work.


Now you can install and run newer DVD software without any compatibility problem.

Thanks for that tip winman, I had already long ago stripped out the player itself from the installer's cab file, but your solution is superior :)
