Chroma options for B & W films?

Should Chroma Motion and the Chroma Optimizer be used with "Enable Greyscale" option for encoding black & white footage?

I figured the optimizer wouldn't help, but I thought that the chroma motion might (they might all be shades of I grey but suppose they are all different colours).

Any thoughts?......

If you enable greyscale mode, chroma motion is automatically off. It wouldn't do anything useful anyway. It would try to match color, but the color wouldn't be coded anyway, so why matching it?

Chroma optimizer is also useless.
