View Full Version : suggestion for SVCDINFO.TXT and DVD2SVCD.XML

I think it would be more practical if all the paths
in the SVCDINFO.TXT and DVD2SVCD.XML are not complete
full paths.

It doesn't help and it confuses people, not to mention
that its a privacy issue (others can see your login name, etc).

So for example:
Import("C:\DOCUME~1\XAXAXA~1\Desktop\DVD2SV~1\RESAMP~1.AVS")

It would look better if it was:
Import("RESAMP~1.AVS")

It would also help if file names were not 8 characters only, since
there is more space when the path is removed.

Any comments?

But the SVCDs you are burning are for your own personal use, right? What possible privaty concerns you may have?

If you still do, you may uncheck "Include movie info on CD" and "Include XML on CD", or use VCDImager manually, or even create the images yourself and strip out the compromising files...

Your reply does not help much, you fail to provide any
useful information.

If you dont like a question, then don't answer it. Answers
like the one above are a waste of our time.

I for myself havenīt seen any logfile of any program with the filenames only and without the full path. The reasons you gave were quite unprofessional and not convincing.
Because it would look better? For me itīs important, that the encoded movie looks fine, _and_ that I find the files on my harddrive, i have problems with.
btw: donīt offend people who want(ed) to help you. Do this again and you will be striked.

Actually, I think I did. However, I did fail indeed in getting you to understand it.

This is funny, coz I really liked your question. But I have to agree with you in that answering your question was a waste of time. Don't worry, I'll be more time-conscious in the future. :D
