View Full Version : Is it possible to enable/disable DVobSub during playback?

I am using DVobSub to display subtitles. I found its subtitle rendered engine is much better than what can be found in any player.

My problem is I would like to be able to turn off/on subtitles during playback.

When I use my HTPC for movie playback there is no keyboard attached to the PC, and with the video overlay anyway there is no possibility of going into the codecs configuration dialogs. I am planning to use Girder to assign an action to my remote button to toggle DVobSub subtitles on and off.

Is there a registry key or something similar that I could modify and which DVobSub would pick-up on the fly during playback?

It's possible! As matter of fact its very easy if you use zoom player.

it is possible and done using keyboard shortcuts around F15 area (no, they're not on normal keyboards... but they're on girder ^_^).

You can search this board (probably about a year old article, maybe a bit more...), browse source or ask gabest for them as I don't remember anymore.

I will see if there is anything I can do with this, seems interesting.
