How far can you overburn mode2 xcd's? It says that 700MB mode 1 is the same as 795MB mode 2.
But with Nero, I can overburn 709MB comfortably on my 700MB CD's, so does that mean I'll be able to overburn an XCD to:
709 * 795 / 700 = 805MB ??

This is something I read in this board a long time ago.
'In theory yes, but u wont be able to watch the extra info burned.'
By now there might be some development in the issue and end up not being true at all.

I have personally successfully overburnt up to 826-MB. This, however, depends on the manufacturer and even on the batch. You may use Feurio to see how much a CD will take without errors (without actually burning the CD). See more info here:

thank you all for your replies! I haven't heard about Feurio at all, it sounds like it would do the job though, I hope it works :)
