Which is the maximum of PGCs supported for VTS? I was informed that is not good to exceeding the amount of 240 because some dvd players do not support it. Is it true? Current players supports more than this?

Thanks

Actually I have read that it is quite smaller. Around 128 I think.

:edit: Thanks to LotD for this. It was the titles I knew about, and there isn't 128, there is only 99. I didn't know the pgcs can go this up.

hi,
here's what i read on the doitfast4u homepage
(under revision history)

"Maximum number of PGCs now supported (999). "

which would imho indicate that up to 999 PGCs would be possible...

The DVD-standard says: 999 PGCs per Title, 99 Titles per VTS.
Check also the explanation on my website.

In the praxis, I once put ca. 170 PGCs in a single Title, just
for fun, and it worked.

you don't happen to know what movie that is/where to get it?!

would definitely be a nice DVD to test the limits of the Big3 :)

Eyes`Only has a copy of the IFO in question, which is where the 999 PGC fix came in ;)

sure do. it's in my 'crazy.ifos.sent.by.users' folder. want it? I have quite a collection.. ;)

I have been told it's an anime game. Can't see any reason a normal movie DVD would ever have a structure like this.

Not only the big3, the SceneIt! DVD has 250+ PGCs and crashed IC7, as well as older DVDShrinks. I sort of worked with DVDShrink in getting his newer versions to work with it, at the same time I was fixing my own app.
