Hi all,
I'm currently using DVD X Copy Express to back up all my DVD's. My question is though, does anyone know an easy way to remove the splash screen that the program places on the beginning of each back-up. Its really annoying.
Thanks

I have been looking for a simple answer to this also. The way I have been getting around this is to use dvd x copy express to burn a dvdrw disc, then use tmpgenc dvd author and select dvd video files and select the dvdrw. This will output the same disc to your hard drive without the screen and not waste a disc. If anyone knows of a patch that will stop the screen please post :)

first of i've never used the program and therefore do not really know its structure etc.
anyway, if it is possible to not directly output to dvd r/rw, why don't you output to the hd, then startup vobrator to look for the splashscreen and note it's cell#. afterwards startup ifoedit, look for the menustructure and disable the playback of the cell.
sound complicated? well it kind of is, but it should be exactly the same process every time, so after figuring it out once it should be a matter of a few minutes! :)
of course not as good as a patch, but somehow i doubt something like this exists!
if you search for the forum there should be a more detailed description on the process!

Its OK guys,
Sorry I forgot to post note letting you know that I can do it. I use Vobrator to remove the scene before buring the DVD.
Thanks any way.
