Hi everybody,
I'm a newbie, but believe me, I read everything I could get in the forums about my problem. This is it:
I started to use DVD2SVCD three weeks ago, and everything worked fine.
I use TMPGEnc with the MoleVCD templates and I'm really impressed about the quality of the resulting movies.
After some time I had the "egghead effect" in my movies. My settings were OK, I used the correct source aspect ratio (16:9, borders added, encoded as 4:3), and chose CQ for rate control mode, but when TMPGEnc started, it seemed that the program didn't know what it was told to do. It encoded in the wrong aspect ratio and TMPGEnc was doing lots of test runs (which as far as I know are done only in variable bitrate mode??)
So I reinstalled DVD2SVCD, but everything stayed the same.
I started TMPGEnc without DVD2SVCD, put in the video and audio data, and everything was OK.
So, am I doing something wrong? I would be glad to here some suggestions.
(I really read all Q&As, millions of threads and used the search function, so don't execute me!!:)
