View Full Version : Maestro compile burnt my HD?

I, for the first time, tried compiling from Maestro to my new 160GB hard drive I've had for maybe 2 weeks.

It was my first time trying to compile to it, and as soon as Maestro was done, I opened WinDVD, and I got errors from it. I tried going to the drive, but all I got was a message that said it couldn't open.

I restarted, then tried opening it again, and it made me reformat (twice) before I could open it. So it deleted all my files, but now works like normal. I don't want to try compiling again, but why the heck did it do this?

I compiled countless times to my C drive, and never with any errors. Why did it happen? I'm too worried to try compiling to it (drive F) again.

I'm no expert, but Maestro's only effect on the hard drive is simple I/O operations. It simply writes the dvd video files to the drive. Given that this is a pretty new drive, it is more likely to be the source of the problem. This is just my opinion though. Try backing up this drive and try compiling again.
