Hello! I would like to copy a DVD-9 to 2 separate DVD-Rs in order to maintain quality. I only have Ifo Edit, so I am using it. My problem is with the menu structure. Since the DVD I am backing up contains 11 episodes, I want to copy the first 6 episodes on the first DVD-R, and the final 5 episodes on the 2nd DVD-R. I use the "Split to 2 DVD-Rs" option with Ifo Edit. The first DVD copies the first 6 episodes correctly, and they fit onto a DVD-R just fine, and play correctly when choosing them from the menu. However, when I play the 2nd DVD-R with the last 5 episodes, it seems the menu wrongly thinks those last 5 episodes are the first 5, and when you click on the last 5 titles on the menu, nothing happens. They will only play by selecting the first 5 menu items, which shouldn't correspond with these final 5 episodes. Also the chapters are all wrong. Does anyone know what I need to do with Ifo Edit in order to correctly make the menus of the 2nd DVD correctly identify these episodes as the final 5 episodes, so that they will play when choosing the correct items on the menu? Any help would be very much appreciated!
Sincerely,
Carlos.
P.S. Please do not chastize me, I know this question has been asked before, and I have read through search for the proper way to split a DVD, however, I have followed all the steps with IFO Edit, and still get the menu error. If anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
P.P.S. I know I am technically no longer a newbie, but I am lost and do not know what forum to post this question on. I suppose I'm only technically not a newbie because I have posted more than a few posts, but I am really lost when it comes to this problem. Thanks again.
