audio out of sync

I have ripped a film (and demuxed) but when i re-combine the audio and video in spruce-up it is out of sync.

I have tried:
Smartripper with Demux on
DVD Decrypter with Demux on
Ripping everything and demuxing using VOB edit

Any ideas how i can get them back in sync?


PS
Is there an AC3 editor (free/ shareware) so i can add or take away a fraction of a second at the beggining of the file to bring it back into sync?

Personally, I have been using IFOEdit when I have a significant delay and manually inputing it. Haven't had a problem with it yet. The problem I run into is when I demux using DVD Decrypter and the title for the .ac3 file doesn't have the delay included in it. Amyone know a way to figure out the delay from the original?
