How to synchronize audio to video?
I am trying to use the delay in BeSweetGUI.
Can you tell me +1000 move the audio ahead or behind the video?
This delay does not seem to have any effect at all moving the audio to match the video?

I am unable to synchronize the audio AC3 sound track created by DVD2AVI and with movie.m2v created by TMPGEnc.
I used IFOEdit to perform the DVD authoring and merge the video and video.

What did I do wrong. Thank you for your advise.

Perhaps this is not the best or easiest way, but..... I used Vdubmpeg. I used Tmpgenc to mux the video and audio then loaded it into vdubmpeg. find a area in the film with lots of close up talking. Under audio select interleaving and adjust it a little at a time until audio and video match. Take note of the delay you set and then run the audio through BeSweet. If anybody has a better or easier method I would love to hear it. There is a ac3 delay correcter on the net but you still need to know how much to set.

Thank you very much for your response.
I am not able to make BeSweet GUI "delay" works.
Did I do something wrong?
Does 1000 and -1000 means add and substract audio time in millisconds?
But no matter what value I put in the "Delay", the result after IFOEdit DVD authoring, seems have no effect at all. How come?
Thank you for your help.

What does "There is a ac3 delay correcter on the net" means?

1. When you check the box for delay and put in the value you should see a command in the command lid something like this -d 3000. If its not there try downloading a new copy of the gui.

2. There is a small freeware program that will correct ac3 delay. I'm have a copy but can't remember the exact name. I am at work so I can't look on my HD. I am not positive but I thing there is a link for it in the Doom9 audio tools section. I might have aquired it at dvd digest. Sorry can't remember where for sure. Go over to the audio part of the forum and do a search for ac3 delay. I think I read a thread about it a couple of days ago.

I never use IfoEdit. Perhaps there is something it does to the audio that erases the time offset.
