Below is the post I made. If you agree, then go there as post a reply saying you would like to see this implemented in the next release.
MY PINNACLE POST:
Since Instant Copy takes the most time to encode than the other tools, I think it would benefit greatly from a batch tool.
On my P4 2.4 it even take 2 hours. So a batch mode where I could go thru each of the DVDs on my hard disc and set the settings and save them and then load each settings file into a batch tool. This batch tool could have a start timer on it. Then when I go to work or to bed it can start encoding multiple discs.
I could write this tool if you implented some easy features to IC. Just allow all the settings to be loaded via command line when IC starts and make the location of the VOB files a setting as well so they autoload when settings are loaded. You also need a command line flag to indicate the profile to load and a flag to cause it to start encoding immediately. This way I can write a tool that loads each settings file waits for IC to finish and then starts again. It does not seem like these features would be hard to implement.
Just a thought since much of the other backup tools out there are much faster than IC.

Umm, have you seen this?

Batch processing was implemented with the last patch.
Not sure if you are looking for more control.

This is exactly the type of batch processing that I had in mind. I searched the forums but did not know about the answer forums on Pinnacle - but I do now ;)

Thanks alot for taking the time to point this out and link to it as well. This will come in handy for those TV series box sets of mine!

It doesn't work!
The saved settings are not loaded, instead the titles are autoresized.
Hey Pinnacle whats up? Whats the use in saved settings that don't really load?
Oh well, I can't even write a solution myself with the command line options since this F6/F7 does not work. Although I should not complain since its an unsupported feature. Hopefully this means they are working on including it in a next release and it was a beta function.
Oh Well :(

I posted the workings of this useless feature (and a few others) in the IC update thread (4th post) and then on the IC forum somehwere. You get the picture reading that thread on what they did and didn't fix with the update as I tried most of the DVD's that wouldn't work before almost immediately
but I think you know the score with the IC forum jfcarbel as you are also a member, it seems like they only read threads regarding stuff they can fix :D (kidding)
I've lost most hope with Pinnacle even though they did listen on the odd occasion but other programs now give more options that do what I need. I suppose once in a blue moon I'll blow the dust offa IC and use it (been 2 months now tho!)
I hope you get exactly what you want but don't hold your breath

MackemX, funny - right when this F7 load settings failed I did a search and found your post.
I agree that IC better get going with these updates especially with all the activity in the transcoding area in the last month. I mean now we have a CloneDVD, DVDXpress, Recode, and an upcoming DVDShrink 2.4 that I am thinking may include precentage resizing.
Also DVD Shrink is thinking about giving those of us who like quality rather than speed, an option for a longer processing and better quality. Look out Pinnacle!
IC is tops for quality but they are not that far out of reach anymore with the improvments we are seeing. I really look forward to Ahead's Recode because this is a company that makes good software and really keeps the updates coming. I noticed alot of feedback I sent to Ahead before they even released their NeroVision 2.0 got included in the release. If they can integrate their DVD authoring and Recode, than this will be real interesting.
I still use IC for the quality, but I am just dying to see the next release of Recode and DVD Shrink.
What are you using currently?

DVDShrink 2.3 was the last I used
but I've been trying them all again to get back upto date with things
