I have and avi file that seems to work fine from the hard drive, but once its burned to cd or dvd it speeds up, then slows down, speeds up again, etc. I've never noticed anything like this on any avi files i've burned to CD or DVD. I've tried it on 3 different CDRW drives with 5 different types of CDRW media and one CDR on each drive. Also tried it on Pioneer AO4 with 3 different types of DVDR's. Every other file on those DVD's plays fine.
I noticed that the preload was 480ms and interleave is 24ms...I muxed this over 6 months ago and i cant remember what settings I used to mux in nandub. The framerate is 25fps, and it has VBR MP3. If I remux with AVI-MUX or nandub default default interleave/preload and burn, it works fine.
I'm trying to figure out what is causing the problem. Only thing I can think of is that the interleave is so short that the throughput on the media drive is not able to keep up with the amount the avi is feeding it. The hard drive can keep up with the short interleave. Does this sound like it could be the problem?
