Screen Capture to Mpeg

I am having problems with my screen capture using Camtasia. When I convert them to mpeg2 using Vegas Video 4 they are blurry. Can anyone here recommend a screen capture process. I am in the process of doing some Photoshop tutorials that would be transferred to DVD.

I had the same question a few months back and used the search function ;). Found this thread (http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=25001) and in the fourth post down a link to CamStudio (http://www.rendersoftware.com/products/camstudio/download.htm), which I found to be excellent for the purpose. They also have a nice little lossless codec on their site which works well for capturing from the PC screen, both are freeware. IMO it works quite well for this purpose and might help your bluriness problems. As far as converting to MPEG2, I'd recommend maybe CCE or TMPGEnc, never tried Vegas Video.
