OK, I've been experience some problems using b-frames and subtitles (SSA). They seems to be corrupted on side-ways (left to right, right to left) panning and bottom-to-top pannings. It's really annoying and I would like to know if it's fixable, or at least reduce the possibilities of it occuring.

XViD Settings:
Motion Search Precision: 6 - Ultra high
Quant Type: h.263
VHQ Mode: 4 - wide search
Max i-frames interval: 240
min i-frame interval: 1
Chroma Motion enabled

max bframes: 2
quant ratio: 150%
Quant offset: 75
threshold: 40

Chroma Optimizer enabled
Trellis R-D Quant enabled.

Well, since a picture is worth a thousand words, then let me know you what I'm talking about. it will speak scores louder. :)

Any help would greatly be appeciated on this matter. Thank you,

I did a series of tests a while ago, enabling/disabling various switches. No effect. It only goes away when I don't use B-frames.

*i think* trellis can't do this, but b-frames can introduce a 1 frame-shift (this is why we need a trim(1,0) to use compare() )
divx with bframe doesn't have this problem, isn't really possible to fix that ?

I'm sorry, but i'm a bit confused on how I would implement Trim(1,0) and compare in my avs script. Can you clearify a bit?

The image “http://www26.brinkster.com/umby/otwins_cap_001.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

@Evil_Sigma: Have you tried decoding with a different decoder? How does ffdshow perform (both using libavcodec and xvid.dll)? etc.

No, I haven't. I'll try it out though. I'll post my comments about it. Thanks!

Yes, it works now!! Thank you, Nic! Apprently, ffdshow-20020617.exe is what I had installed, wasn't decoding it right. I installed the alpha version (ffdshow-20030523.exe) and it works fine! No errors anywhere.

Thanks again,
Sigma
