Smartripper to dvd+r

I have been able to back up my dvd's to HD using smartripper. If I buy a dvd burner with nero software, will I be able to simply select all the ripped files ifo,bup,vob etc and burn them to dvd+r to make a backup disc that will play in a dvd+r compatible player?

If you mean no transcoding or encoding then yes...if your source DVD is a DVD-5.

If it is a dvd9 can I just burn 2 dvd+r's

u have to use dvdfab or ifoedit for it, but yes, it can be done.
